Initially, I decided to settle with reds, blues and blacks for this design. This is because the red reflects the passion of these artists to pursue their career, whereas blue shows inspiration, and how they can be an inspiration to those who want to spread their talent to the world. I also chose these colors because they're fairly vibrant and would catch the eye of potential readers.
Down the line, I switched the entire color palette to warmer and brighter colors.
Now that I have all the photos ready, it's time to get into drafting design ideas for my cover page. In terms of fonts, I decided to stick with the same one I used on my mock cover page as it fits the theme of my magazine. In addition, I added a few new fonts to the design. Below, I'll attach all the fonts used in my design process.

I used Lightroom to edit the photos with the following settings and applied it to all the images:

I also decided to feature my friend who is a drummer on the content page. Below are some pictures I took of him

To create variety on my content page, I decided to take more pictures featuring my friend, who also happens to be musically-inclined. I decided to focus on fashion for this specific section and so put more emphasis on the outfits she was wearing.
I then took additional photos with my brother and his friend that I intended to use as the cover photo.
After completing my mock, I now have an idea of what direction I want to take for my final piece, with that in mind, it was time to take photos. Luckily, my brother and his friend were holding a concert which was aimed at promoting underground artists in the country, so I used this to my advantage and got a few photos of their performance which I will attach below.
