This is the final cover page draft. I used light blue for the masthead to draw attention to it. Furthermore, I also used it on the text with the artist names to show that this is the exclusive feature of the magazine. As for the photo, I edited it to give it that grainy, disposable camera effect, which to me is quite appealing. However, I have decided to redesign the cover page again after some feedback from my teacher.
I chose the Banner font for the masthead, specifically because it is eye catching
After much choice, I decided to go for the picture below. I went with it because it demonstrates my brother playing the guitar to give readers a hint that this magazine is centered around music. Furthermore, the direct mode of address is a convention which is mostly present in music magazines so I went with this photo. Since it is quite dark, I tweaked it a bit and increased the exposure to give a brighter effect
