The first step to the redesign is taking pictures of the cover model. I've decided to include my brother and his friend, since they are both producers and musicians. The idea I have in mind is more close up pictures with the cover model making direct eye contact with the audience as this is what I've observed most in music magazines. Below is my inspiration.
After much feedback, I decided to redesign the cover page of my first draft. What I took from it is that, most music magazines, including the ones I attached in my inspiration post, use a direct mode of address. This was lacking in my cover page and I feel it's a very important element that I should definitely incorporate. Furthermore, vibrant colors are visible on the cover lines and the size of the text is quite small to draw attention to the main image. All these factors will be taken into consideration when I am working on my redesign.
