Update on Coursework(2)

 The thing I struggled with most with the assignment was trying to find fonts that matched those in the cover, as well as the lighting and positioning of the model for the over. I tried to make it as accurate as possible and played around with colors to see what I thought was best fitting. I still have a lot to learn and plan on improving my work as the months go by.

Update on coursework

 We recently did some hands on learning using Photoshop to see how well we could recreate a magazine cover of our choice. My first choice was a Bella Hadid Vogue cover but this was fairly difficult to recreate. I used my friend as the model and we ended up settling for a Gigi Hadid Vogue cover instead. Here I will attach the magazine cover, the image I used and the results.

Inspiration

 My first idea leans more towards targeting audiences who are more artistically inclined and want to be informed about the world of art and anything of the sort. Here I will attach my inspiration.

My second idea is about music and would involve featuring young aspiring artists and giving them a platform to express themselves. Below is my inspiration

Picking a topic

I have done extensive research and I'm still drafting ideas. I'm having conflicting ideas about what topic I want to create my magazine on, but I'm aware of what style I want it to be in. When it comes to creating art, I tend to lean towards more colorful and abstract ideas, specifically colors which match the pictures used in the magazine so I want to incorporate this style into my media coursework.

I have 2 ideas which I would like to work on, which both entail creating awareness of talent within Kenya:
